As part of the festive celebrations in Paisley Town Centre this year we are excited to welcome back the spectacular under cover outdoor Ice Rink complete with themed Bavarian bar. The perfect family festive day out.
The Ice Rink will be open Tuesday to Sunday, during selected times, from 30 November up to and including 30 December (excluding Christmas and Boxing Days).
ASN sessions: These sessions provide extra support for individuals with sensory needs, along with their families and caregivers, so they can have a wonderful time in a calm and enjoyable atmosphere. In these sessions, we limit the number of people on the ice, and the music is either turned off or played at a very low volume.
Festive Funfair

Step right up and straight into Christmas with our festive funfair. Whether you’re an adventurous thrill-seeker or prefer a more relaxed experience, a family with kids or young at heart, we’ve got you covered. Just don’t forget to scream if you want to go faster.
Santa's Workshop

Did you know Santa’s workshop is moving from the North Pole to The Art Department on Causeyside Street, Paisley?
Santa needs some little helpers to come visit for free and do some fun Christmas stuff. You can make cool Christmas decorations, listen to stories from his elves, play fun games, and even write letters to Santa himself.
The best part is everything is free. The elves give you all the things you need, and they’ll show you what to do. And you don’t even need a ticket, you can drop in whenever you want. It’s going to be so much fun!
Paisley’s Angels and Elves Christmas Trail

Join the fun and discover all the Christmas Angels and mischievous Elves hiding in the windows of local shops and businesses, if you can name them all you could even win a prize.
Starting from Thursday 30 November, and running every day until Sunday 7 January. Grab your special trail map from the Paisley First leaflet stands in the Piazza Shopping Centre or the Paisley Shopping Centre. Plus, don’t miss out on your free activity sheet – it’s loads of fun!
Paisley’s Big Christmas Weekends
Paisley First are hosting free family entertainment on weekends leading up to Christmas with festive stilt walkers, magicians, jugglers, balloon modellers, face painting, music and lots more. See below for a breakdown of activities:
- Saturday 2 December: Town Centre Christmas Market, Santa’s reindeer, elf stilt walker, balloon modeller.
- Sunday 3 December: Festive magician, face painter, Snow Queen stilt walker, Christmas movie – Home Alone.
- Saturday 9 December: Best dressed Christmas window judging, Absurdist Pipe Band, festive juggler, Jack Frost and snowman stilt walkers.
- Sunday 10 December: Reindeer, balloon modeller, festive caricaturist, Christmas movie – Frozen Sing-along.
- Saturday 16 December: Snow globe, reindeer, balloon modeller, singing walkabout Santa.
- Sunday 17 December: Snow globe, face painter, Santa and Mrs Claus stilt walkers, Christmas movies – Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life.
Paisley town centre Christmas Market
To celebrate Small Business Saturday, Paisley First has organised a Christmas Market Day on Saturday 2 December on the High Street. The event will run from 10am to 4pm and will feature an array of local businesses, such as Cards Party Balloons, John McKay Jewellers, Kettle Black, Paisley Craft Beer, Paisley Pie Co, Taste Buds Paisley, The Auld Atelier, and others. The market will highlight and support our vibrant community of independent businesses and will be a great opportunity to shop local this Christmas.
Reindeer
Santa’s Reindeer are set to make a festive comeback in Paisley town centre this holiday season. The reindeer will be making exclusive appearances on weekends, so make sure to stop by and greet them between 12 noon and 4 pm on the following dates: Saturday 2 December, Sunday 10 December, and Saturday, 17 December.
Snow Globe
The Paisley First Giant Snow Globe will also be returning this year and will be available for FREE festive photos on the High Street on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December.
Christmas Movies
Paisley First and The Bungalow on Shuttle Street have partnered to bring you a selection of enchanting festive films that will surely put you in the holiday mood.
On Sunday 3 December enjoy a special screening of ‘Home Alone.’ Then, on Sunday 10 December, sing-along to the beloved ‘Frozen.’ And mark your calendars for Sunday 17 December, as they present a delightful double feature: ‘Elf’ followed by the heartwarming classic ‘It’s A Wonderful Life.’

Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition
Wrap up warm, grab the family and take in the festive window displays created by Paisley town centre businesses, as part of Paisley First’s Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition.
To make sure you see them all, grab a leaflet from the Paisley First leaflet stands in the Piazza Shopping Centre or the Paisley Shopping Centre.
Judging will take place on Saturday 9 December with this year’s guest judge, St Mirren Legend, Tony Fitzpatrick.
Christmas Golden Ticket Competition
